Tight budget and still want the best? Then the 30-minute deluxe trip is for you.
What makes this flight extraordinary is the helicopter. It's an EcoStar 130, the new one (the basic version uses the old one).
The EcoStar's cabin is 20% larger than the old helicopter's - a huge benefit if you are tall or heavy set.
It also boasts a 180-degree wrap-around windshield and stadium-style bucket seats so everyone gets a great view.
The EcoStar is prized for its aerodynamics and delivers one of the smoothest and quietest rides over the Canyon today.
The Flight
The tour departs daily except for Christmas Day. The departure point is Grand Canyon National Park Airport in Tusayan in Arizona.
It lifts off from South Rim and goes into the Dragoon Corridor - the widest and deepest section of the Canyon - before reaching the North Rim and returning.
In flight, you'll see the Colorado River, Grand Canyon Village, the Kaibab Plateau, Phantom Ranch and more (your pilot will make sure you see it all).
RSVP
The 30-minute tour is super popular and sells out so I strongly recommend you book it one-to-two weeks in advance . I also recommend buying it on-line so you get the best seats at the best price.
Want more air-time? Try the 50-minute deluxe.
